Murad highlights one-year initiatives of Punjab govt

Provincial Minister Ibrahim Hasan Murad in a presser highlighted the significant initiatives taken in various departments during his one-year tenure and said that caretaker Government has done record performance.

He highlighted that one billion dollar foreign funding de-track projects were brought in the right direction, starts task management system in the local Government Department, Cattle Market Auction from three billion fifty crores to five billion seventy crores, a profit of more than two billions has been ensured, a reduction of ten crores per month in Lahore waste management expenses, launching of 1198: Helpline for the guidance of citizens, digitization of property tax, which will increase income, 200,000 tonnes of garbage has been collected through ‘Safai Nisaf Iman’, 1500 transparent transfers and postings have been made in Punjab, 10,000 youth volunteers have been selected under the VLG programme, across Punjab. Orders were given for solar system and LED street light, Jashan Baharan was organized, 14 billion was obtained instead of the target of 12 billion and 2 billion was added, new areas were identified to stop illegal commission. For this, district mining and management committees were formed, references were made for corruption cases of 65 crores of previous periods, the contracts awarded to 40 large mines were terminated by irregularities.

A road map of 1.5 billion revenue was formed, three billion ten crores recovery notices were given to PMDC and cement factories, online inspection and monitoring system was introduced, e-tendering and e-auctions were launched for transparency, 2 zones of rock salt and 36 cents were identified, Actions taken in Panjman region increased profit from 93 crores to 130 crores, 94 old posts were vanished, actions were taken to reduce accidents by 15% and deaths by 20%, blocks of pressur cold, launched an online GIS system, organized a mining investment forum, Emergency rescue car response time brought down from eight minutes to four minutes, death grant of mine labor increased from two lakh to four lakh. One billion rupees has been allocated for welfare workers and their families,

36,000 mining workers were registered in the tax system, 4 billion were recovered from illegal miners, 175 old pending cases were resolved. 26000 electric vehicle program was started in which 10000 motorcycles, 10000 rickshaws, 2000 pink bikes, 2000 vehicles were provided to special persons from one to four scale government employees, free travel of 25 lakh students in metro train managed in which 20 thousand additional students were benefited, excel management of 1700 km roads, thus saving 600 billion rupees spent on road repairs, 2.5 billion rupees revenue plan was launched for Orange Line and Metro Bus Service, District Accident Review Committees were formed, life-saving measures were taken in every district, first manufacturing license for electric rickshaws issued which was delayed for last three years, inspections of 1.5 lakh vehicles were carried out which was more than 47% from previous years, B, C and D category bus stations were renovated across Punjab, solarization of 20% megawatt metero track was started, to give relief to the common man, transport fares were reduced by 10 to 20 percent, Pindi and Lahore metro tracks were patchworked at a cost of 2.5 billion, Two hundred bus shelters were repaired and renovated in Lahore, one card travel metro.
