CPSP delegation praises CM for reforming health sector

A six-member delegation from the College of Physicians and Surgeons Pakistan (CPSP), including Prof Khalid Masood Gondal, Mahmood Ayaz, Amer Zaman Khan, Abrar Ashraf, Muhammad Tayyab and Mustafa Arain called on Chief Minister Punjab Mohsin Naqvi at his office.

The delegation highlighted issues concerning the KSK campus of King Edward Medical University and extended an invitation to attend an upcoming international medical education conference. The CM assured of the government’s dedication to resolving the matters.

The delegation commended CM Naqvi for his pivotal role in swiftly implementing substantial reforms in the health sector. They praised the effectiveness of ‘Mohsin Speed,’ acknowledging its impact on subsequent administrations. The delegation expressed their admiration for MrNaqvi’s unparalleled commitment, emphasizing that no elected government could match his pace. They also lauded his efforts in visiting and improving conditions at hospitals, achieving results that hadn’t been seen since 1947. They recognized these efforts as a continuous act of charity and offered their prayers in gratitude.

Chief Minister Naqvi underscored the government’s relentless efforts for the enhancement of the health sector, emphasizing that serving humanity during challenging times is a form of worship. He urged the medical professionals to take ownership of the upgraded hospitals and continue their dedication to the betterment of healthcare.

Moreover, former LCCI presidents including Nauman Kabir, Sohail Lashari, Mahmood Ghaznavi and Kh. Shahzad Nasir called on Chief Minister Punjab Mohsin Naqvi at his office to apprise him of their issues.

Assuring prompt resolution of their issues, the CM emphasized the establishment of business facilitation centers in various cities to enhance business activities.

He underscored the importance of expeditiously issuing NOCs within a two-week timeframe, streamlining the process to improve the overall ease of doing business. The CM highlighted the convenience of having a single platform where over 100 NOCs can be obtained, incorporating both federal and provincial department counters.

In a show of gratitude, the delegation praised the CM, Provincial Minister SM Tanvir and their team members for implementing impactful reforms that benefit the business community.

They commended the chief minister’s dedication to translating promises into tangible actions, acknowledging his swift and practical initiatives aimed at facilitating business operations.
