KARACHI – The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has predicted rainfall of varying intensities for Karachi, Hyderabad and parts of Sindh during the weekend.
According to the synoptic situation, a westerly wave is affecting Balochistan and upper Sindh. It is likely to affect upper parts of Pakistan from tonight.
Under these conditions, rain-wind/thunderstorm is expected in Karachi, Hyderabad, Thatta, Badin, Sukkur, Larkana, Dadu Mirpurkhas, Sanghar, Tharparkar, Shaheed Benazirabad, Jacobabad and Kashmore on Friday evening/night, Saturday and Sunday. Partly cloudy weather will prevail elsewhere in the province.
Karachi’s minimum temperatures will likely remain between 18-19 degrees Celsius on Saturday and Sunday.
Hyderabad’s minimum temperatures will likely remain between 16-18 C on Saturday and 17-19 C on Sunday.
Meanwhile, cold and dry weather prevailed across Sindh during the last 24 hours. Shallow to moderate fog prevailed in upper Sindh.
In Karachi, minimum temperature was recorded at 19 C. Relative humidity during the morning was recorded at 65 per cent.
In Hyderabad, minimum temperature was recorded at 17 C. Relative humidity during the morning was recorded at 72 per cent.
