On the instructions of Inspector General Police Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar, intelligence-based combing operations are continuing in all districts of the province to eradicate crimes, in continuation of which thousands of criminals have been arrested and hundreds kilograms of drugs, illegal weapons and stolen goods have been recovered.
According to the details, Punjab Police has released the performance report for the first month of this year. During the month of January 2024, intelligence-based combing operations against criminal elements continued in all districts of the province including Lahore. 6500 raids were conducted on the hideouts of drug dealers across the province, 3650 cases were registered, 3660 accused were arrested and 2030 kg of chars, 39 kg of heroin, 08 kg of Ice and 60400 liters of liquor were recovered.
286 million cash, 92 tola gold, 263 million worth of stolen items, 1550 motorcycles and vehicles, 730 mobile phones and 170 cattle were recovered from the possession of criminals and handed over to their owners. In the campaign against illegal arms, 2855 pistols, 252 rifles, 35 revolvers, 231 guns and 118 Kalashnikovs were recovered from the culprits. 8310 proclaimed offenders, 5870 Court absconders and 2266 target offenders were arrested.183 million rupees were recovered by arresting 735 gangs of dangerous criminals from across the province.
71780 Citizen Certificates, 15025 Tenancy Registration, 66030 Verification, 9864 Loss Reports were issued from Police khidmat Centers. The traffic police issued licenses to 12 lakh 93 thousand 900 citizens and collected 459 million in the form of fines for violation of laws in the national treasury.
In anti-smog operations, 18410 challans, 8050 vehicles were impounded in police stations while fines of Rs. 60 lakh were imposed.
