ISLAMABAD – The interim government on Wednesday announces sharp increase in petrol prices for February 2024.
Finance Division notified that petrol price has been increased by Rs13.55 to Rs272.89 per litre, while diesel price has been jacked up by Rs2.75 to Rs276.21 per litre. The recent surge comes amid unrest in Middle East.

In previous price review update, the outgoing government lowered petrol prices by Rs8 per litre.
The recent surge in Pakistan comes amid fluctuations in global oil prices. Oil prices increased from $83 to $89 per barrel in the past week, while diesel prices increased from $93 to $97 per barrel.
