Murree, Galliyat weather update; more rain, snowfall likely

ISLAMABAD – The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecast more rains and snowfall for Murree and Galliyat during the next two days.
According to the synoptic situation, a westerly wave is affecting Pakistan’s western and upper parts.
It will likely persist in the upper parts of the country during the next few days.
Under these conditions, rains and snowfall are expected in Murree on Tuesday night, Wednesday and Thursday.
Snowfall may affect transportation on Tuesday night and Wednesday.
Tourists are advised to remain cautious.
Murree’s minimum temperature will likely remain between 00-02 degrees Celsius on Wednesday and Thursday.
Meanwhile, freezing weather prevailed in Murree and Galliyat during the last 24 hours.
In Murree, the mercury dropped to the freezing point.
Relative humidity during the morning was recorded at 59 per cent.
Tourists thronged Malika-e-Kohsar and Galliyat to see the snowfall of the winter season.
The influx of vehicles caused a traffic mess in Murree and Galliyat.
Hotels and restaurants enhanced room rent and commodities prices to earn extra money.

Tourists complained about the high prices of commodities and the improper attitude of employees.
