Nadra ID card cancellation due to death [fee update Feb 2024]

LAHORE – The National Database Registration Authority (Nadra) issued a cancellation certificate when it terminates an ID card due to death of any citizen.

Any blood relative possessing a valid National Identity Card or NICOP, death certificate from union council and the graveyard certificate of the deceased family member, can apply for the cancellation.

The original ID card of the deceased is destroyed at the Nadra Registration Centre to ensure that it cannot be misused.

How to Apply for Nadra ID Card Cancellation

The applicant is required to visit any NADRA Registration Center (NRC) to apply for cancellation certificate.

Cancellation of ID card due to death of a Pakistani citizen/ex-Pakistani can be applied in this category by the immediate family members (parent/sibling/children/spouse).
