LAHORE – An Anti-Terrorism Court(ATC) on Monday granted bail to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) activist Sanam Javaid and Muhammad Tanveer in connection with a case related to attacking the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) office.

ATC Judge Arshad Javaid Chadhar passed the order in the case.

During the court proceedings, the defense lawyer argued that Sanam Javaid was implicated in the case six months later. Deputy Prosecutor Abdul Jabbar Dogar requested the bail to be rejected, citing the allegations of inciting public unrest agains Sanam.

However, the judge granted bail to Sanam Javaid and Muhammad Tanveer.

It is noteworthy that the Model Town police had filed a case against Sanam Javaid, a PTI worker, for allegedly setting fire to the Muslim League-N office.

Subsequently, Sanam Javaid was arrested in another case registered at Shadman police station.

The police said that Sanam Javaid was apprehended in connection with a terrorism case, and the investigation authorities took her into custody. Sanam Javaid would be transferred to Shadman police station for further proceedings.
