Several media outlets on Thursday ran reports about the death of former National Assembly speaker Illahi Bux Soomro. According to a member of Soomro’s family, the reports are false. Soomro is a prominent political figure who served as the National Assembly speaker from 1997 to 2001.
However, a member of Soomro’s family reached out to the platform’s media pa and said that the reports were incorrect and the ex-NA speaker was alive.
