In an exclusive conversation with the media, Syed Ejaz Hussain Bukhari, an independent candidate supported by PTI from PP-3 Attock III, shared insights into his political journey and outlined his commitment to the development of Attock district.
Bukhari, with a political career spanning thirty-seven years, expressed his dedication to public service and the upliftment of his constituency. Refraining from making critical accusations against any political candidate, he highlighted the various projects initiated during his tenure that played a pivotal role in addressing the backwardness of Attock district, earning the trust and appreciation of the local populace.
Notably, Bukhari achieved success in the provincial assembly elections despite facing opposition attempts to exploit government machinery for their own interests. Reflecting on the political landscape, he remarked, “A vote is a trust. Use your right to vote, but consider who can lead the country towards development and navigate through economic challenges.”
During the interview, Bukhari drew attention to the economic concerns facing the country, attributing the burden on future generations to the policies of mainstream parties such as the PML-N and the PPP. He criticized the alleged mismanagement of the country’s economy, pointing out that both parties have been accused of contributing to the economic downturn.
Responding to questions about his stance on the current government, Bukhari maintained that the people have already made up their minds about whom to vote for. He emphasized the importance of media outlets guiding the public on who genuinely supports the country’s interests and possesses the capability to manage its economy effectively.
Addressing the sensitive issue of political affiliations, Bukhari stated, “I have always had this habit in politics that I don’t go to ask for votes with a convoy of vehicles. Secondly, if someone leaves my old partner and goes away, I do not speak against him. It is my conscience that I do not forbid the salt eaten with him.”
