KARACHI – The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has predicted mainly cold and dry weather for Karachi, Hyderabad and most parts of Sindh during the weekend.
As per the synoptic situation, continental air prevails over most parts of Pakistan.
A shallow westerly wave is likely to affect upper parts of the country.
Under these conditions, mainly cold and dry weather is expected in Karachi, Hyderabad and most districts of Sindh on Friday evening/night, Saturday and Sunday.
Partly cloudy and light rain/drizzle is likely in Dadu, Larkana and surrounding areas on Friday evening/night.
Fog/smog is likely to persist in Jacobabad, Hyderabad, Mohenjo-Daro, Sukkur, Ghotki, Khairpur, Kashmore and Padidan on Friday night.
On Saturday and Sunday, fog/smog is likely to persist in Jacobabad, Hyderabad, Mohenjodaro, Sukkur, Larkana, Dadu, Ghotki, Khairpur, Kashmore and Padidan.
Day temperatures are likely to remain below normal in most districts of the province due to dense fog.
Karachi’s minimum temperature will likely remain between 13-15 degrees Celsius on Saturday and Sunday.
Hyderabad’s minimum temperature will likely remain between 10-12 C on Saturday and Sunday.
Meanwhile, cold and dry weather prevailed across Sindh during the last 24 hours.
Mohenjo-Daro remained the coldest place in the province where mercury dropped to 05 C.
Relative humidity during the morning was recorded at 93 per cent.
In Karachi, minimum temperature was recorded at 14 C.
Relative humidity during the morning was recorded at 69 per cent.
In Hyderabad, minimum temperature was recorded at 10 C.
Relative humidity during the morning was recorded at 82 per cent.
Fog/smog prevailed in upper districts which disturbed normal vehicular movement on inter and intra city roads.
