ISLAMABAD – The Pakistan Meteorologist Department (PMD) has predicted that the country will experience dry and cold weather on Friday, although some regions may receive light rain and snowfall.
Karachi is expected to remain cold due to last week’s weather. The PMD’s weather forecast bulletin stated that the minimum temperature was recorded at 12 degrees Celsius in Karachi, while Hyderabad in Sindh witnessed the lowest temperature of 6 degrees Celsius.
According to the forecast, Punjab will experience partly cloudy weather, and some cities, such as Murree, may receive light rain or drizzle, with light snowfall expected over the mountains. On the other hand, some areas, including Chitral, Dir, Swat, Kohistan, Malakand, Kohat Karam, Khyber, Mohmand, Dera Ismail Khan, Bannu, and Waziristan, may have light rain in certain places and light snow in the mountains.
Heavy fog is expected in Charsadda, Mardan, Nowshera, Swabi, Peshawar, Lucky Marwat, Bannu and surrounding areas. Additionally, Bahawalpur, Sahiwal, Okara, Kasur, Lahore, Sialkot, Narowal, Gujranwala, Rawalpindi, Attock, Jhelum, Mangala, Faisalabad, Jhang, Sargodha, Mandi Bahauddin, Toba Tek Singh, Khanewal, Multan, Khanpur, Rahimyar Khan, Hafizabad, Bhakkar, Leh, Dera Ghazi Khan and Gur two districts will be affected by heavy smog.
There is also a chance of smog over Jacobabad, Hyderabad, Mohenjodaro, Sukkur, Larkana, Dadu, Ghotki, Khairpur, Kashmore, and Padaidan. Due to this, daytime temperatures are expected to remain below average in most districts of the province.
