The Sindh Tourism Development Corporation (STDC) is set to make its inaugural appearance at the upcoming Tourism Exhibition in Thailand from February 25th to 28th, 2024. Aligning with the vision of ArshadWali Muhammad, Minister for Tourism, Environment, Climate Change & Coastal Development, Government of Sindh, the participation aims to showcase Sindh’s rich heritage and allure on the global stage.
Minister Muhammad expressed, “This is a golden opportunity to unveil the hidden treasures of Sindh to the enthusiastic Thai market.”
The participation reflects the commitment to highlighting Sindh’s beauty, vibrant culture, and historical significance, fostering stronger ties with Thailand in the tourism sector. Leading the delegation at the exhibition will be Fayaz Ali Shah, Managing Director of STDC, and KhawajaJahanzeb, CEO of Zeb Travels. They will engage the Thai audience with captivating narratives of Sindh’s archaeological wonders, including Mohenjo-daro and Makli Necropolis, the serene Thar Desert, and the mesmerizing Arabian Sea beaches. With a growing interest in Pakistani tourism among Thai travelers, the exhibition provides a strategic platform to amplify Sindh’s appeal.
The goal is to solidify Sindh as a must-visit destination for Thai travelers seeking unique experiences and cultural immersion. In 2023, over 500 Thai tourists visited Pakistan, and Sikh communities in Thailand consistently make the pilgrimage to Lahore for Guru Nanak’s birthday celebrations. STDC aims to build on this existing interest and position Sindh as a top choice
