Sea Spark 2024: Pakistan Navy’s maritime drill kickstarts in Karachi

KARACHI – Pakistan Navy’s key maritime exercise Seaspark-24 is underway in the port city of Karachi, a statement issued by the army’s media affairs wing said.

The exercise, which occurs every two years, contributes to the overall readiness and effectiveness of naval forces.

Chief of the Naval Staff Admiral Naveed Ashraf attended the event as chief guest.

A press release issued in this regard said personnel of Pakistan Navy, Army, and Air Force will participate in joint operations.

All naval platforms and assets of the navy, Pakistan Maritime Security Agency, Special Forces and Pakistan Marines will also take part in the drills.

The exercise will further strengthen Pakistani forces resolve to maintain peace and security in the region.

The exercise dubbed Sea Spark 2024 is also being attended by representatives of ministries of defence, maritime affairs, interior and national security division.
