Police raid Javed Hashmi’s house, take his son-in-law into custody

MULTAN – The police conducted a raid on the residence of senior politician Javed Hashmi and took his son-in-law and four workers into custody.

The raid took place during a Tehreek-e-Insaf workers’ convention the Makhdoom Rashid area of Multan.

Taking to X, Javed Hashmi informed his fans and followers about the raid.

Javed Hashmi claimed that the police forcefully entered his residence, breaking doors, and even resorting to violence against women present in the house. The raid led to the arrest of not only household staff but also the PTI candidate associated with the residence.

PTI leaders Meher Bano Qureshi and Zain Qureshi were expected to participate in the PTI workers’ convention at Javed Hashmi’s residence.

The incident sparked concerns and raised questions about the nature of the police operation, with Javed Hashmi condemning the alleged use of force and violence during the raid.

The authorities have yet to provide an official statement regarding the incident.
