PESHAWAR – The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecast the prevailing cold wave and foggy weather to persist in Peshawar and plains of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa during the next two days.
As per the synoptic situation, continental air prevails over most parts of Pakistan.
Under these conditions, cold and dry weather is expected in Peshawar and most parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Monday evening/night, Tuesday and Wednesday.
Freezing and partly cloudy weather is expected in upper districts.
Fog update for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa
Dense fog/smog will likely prevail in Charsadda, Mardan, Nowshera, Swabi, Peshawar, Lakki Marwat, Bannu, Dera Ismail Khan and surroundings.
Peshawar’s minimum temperature will likely remain between 03-05 degrees Celsius on Tuesday and 01-03 C on Wednesday.
Meanwhile, cold wave and foggy weather prevailed in Peshawar and plains of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa during the last 24 hours.
Freezing weather prevailed in upper districts.
Kalam remained the coldest place in the province where mercury dropped 07 C below freezing.
In Peshawar, the minimum temperature was recorded at 03 C.
Relative humidity during the morning was recorded at 100 per cent.
Dense fog/smog prevailed in Peshawar and plains of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Dense fog/smog increased chill in weather by decreasing day temperatures.
Less visibility disrupted traffic on inter and intra-city roads in plains of the province.
