LAHORE – Students and their families are confused after they encountered several reports on social media claiming that schools will observe eight holidays in Pakistan in February 2024 due to upcoming general elections scheduled for Feb 8.

Reports suggest that educational institutions will be closed on Sunday, February 4 while there will be day off on Feb 5 on account of Kashmir Day. They further claimed that schools would remain closed from Feb 6 to 10 due to elections.

Reports further added that the schools would reopen on Feb 12 after eight days of holidays.

However, there is no official notification regarding holidays from federal and provincial governments.
