11 outlaws arrested, drugs and weapons recovered

Islamabad Capital Police apprehended 11 outlawsincluding four professional baggers from different areas of the cityduring the last 24 hours and recovered drugs and weapons from theirpossession, a public relations officer said.

He said that, following the special directions of Islamabad Capital CityPolice Officer (ICCPO) Dr. Akbar Nasir Khan, the Islamabad CapitalPolice has intensified crackdown against the criminal elements in orderto eliminate the crime from the city.

Following these directions, the Khana police team arrested two accusednamely Shahzaib Khan and Rafiq and recovered 540 gram heroin and onedagger from their possession, while police team also arrested theaccused namely Hamza involved in illegally refilling gas cylinders.

The Kirpa police team arrested an accused namely Huzaima involved inillegally refilling gas cylinders.

Likewise, the LohiBher police team arrested an accused namely Sikandarand recovered 542 gram hashish from his possession, while police teamalso arrested the accused namely Zakir involved in illegally refillinggas cylinders. The BharaKahu police team arrested an accused namelyAbdul Rehman and recovered one 30 bore pistol from his possession.

Cases have been registered against the nabbed accused and furtherinvestigation is underway.

During a special crackdown against professional beggars police teamsbusted four professional baggers from different areas of the city.

ICCPO Dr. Akbar Nasir Khan directed the police officials to furtherintensify the crackdown against the criminal elements. “Safety andsecurity of the citizens is our foremost priority and no laxity will be tolerated in this regard”, he maintained.
