The National Highways and Motorway Police (NHMP) seized huge cache of non-custom paid (NCP) items worth millions of rupees, impounded a truck and arrested the driver and accomplices.
The NHMP which was high alert over a tip-off searched an Islamabad bound suspected truck coming from Peshawar on M1 near Charsadda.
During search, smuggled items including cloth, steel rolls, tea and cartons of candies worth millions of rupees were recovered.
The police impounded truck, arrest driver and his other accomplices.
