Naqvi reviews up-gradation of Mayo Hospital

Punjab Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi visited Mayo Hospital on Friday, focusing on the ongoing up-gradation project in the main emergency block.

According to the details, CM Naqvi reviewed all the construction work himself and issued orders to complete the finishing works of the emergency block as soon as possible with high quality.

During his inspection, the Chief Minister observed the ongoing construction works on the basement, ground floor, and other floors and instructed him to install appropriate-sized signboards for the convenience of patients and attendants. Secretary Construction and Communications gave a briefing on the progress of the up-gradation project whereas the Principal of King Edward Medical University Dr. Mahmood Ayaz was also present during the visit.

Punjab Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi visited the Punjab Institute of Cardiology (PIC) where he expressed disappointment over the poor cleaning arrangements in the new emergency.

Expressing a keen interest in the matter, Mohsin Naqvi immediately summoned the contractor, officials of the Department of Construction and Communications, and MS. “The sanitation arrangements in the new emergency are not satisfactory at all, the situation of cleanliness is not tolerable”, said CM.

Moreover, the Chief Minister inquired about the welfare of the wheelchair patients as well as their treatment facilities. He picked up the file that fell on the floor and gave it to the patient in the wheelchair, the patient thanked Mohsin Naqvi for his kind gesture.

During this visit, the Secretary of Health and related officials were also present.
