CM inquires after children suffering from pneumonia

Pneumonia cases have risen among the children. Chief Minister Punjab Mohsin Naqvi reached Children Hospital to take stock of the latest situation. CM visited the emergency ward and inquired after the under treatment children. Mohsin Naqvi inquired from the mothers of the children about the provision of medical facilities in the hospital.

He expressed his affection with the children and issued directions to the duty doctors to specially look after the children suffering from Pneumonia along with providing them best treatment facilities. CM informed that the classes from play group, prep and nursery have been closed till 19th January so as to prevent the children from catching Pneumonia disease.

A ban has been imposed on the morning assembly in the schools till 31st January. A relaxation has also been made in the school uniform for the children. Mohsin Naqvi assured that all possible steps will be undertaken to safeguard the lives of children. He reviewed the ongoing upgradation work in the hospital and directed to further speed up the construction activities.

CM inspected the bio medical unit, main corridor and reception counter. He checked the quality of tiles installation work in the main corridor and directed to improve the lift area.

Mohsin Naqvi directed to shift the beds and other equipment to a safe place lying in the corridor and other wards during the construction work. Provincial Minister for Education Mansoor Qadir, Secretary Health, Special Secretary Health and other officials were also present on the occasion.

Showing his disappointment over the slow pace of work on the upgradation of Jinnah Hospital in Lahore, Punjab Chief Minister Syed MohsinNaqvi on Thursday ordered increasing the number of labourers working at the project site.

During a visit to the hospital, he ordered that 1,000 labourers should work in two shifts; 500 in each shift. He said that there would be a proper monitoring of the strength of the workforce.

The chief minister was also indignant to find beds and other goods lying in a corridor. He ordered the hospital administration to shift the goods to a safe place.

The CM directed the special secretary health to visit the hospital at nighttime and monitor the situation. Taking notice of the development of cracks in the hospital’s building, he stressed the need for immediately finding a lasting solution to the problem.
