The unveiling ceremony of Shamim Alam’s book ” Shahdadpur sy San Francisco” was organized under the auspices of the Arts Council of Pakistan Karachi Members Liaison Committee. The event, held in Auditorium II, was presided over by Colonel (Retired) Mukhtar Butt.
Prominent figures including Secretary Arts Council Ejaz Farooqi, Shakeel Khan, Mubeen Mirza, Journalist Agha Masood Hussain, Peer Samiullah Jan Sarhandi, Syed Shamsuddin, Professor Qadeer Ghori, Bachal Laghari, renowned actor Saleem Afridi, Ali Hassan, and Irfan Malik, among others, graced the occasion. Colonel Retired Mukhtar Butt emphasized the irreplaceable value of quality education, expressing concern about the prevailing trend of purchasing education rather than acquiring it genuinely Acknowledging Shamim Alam’s substantial contributions; Colonel Retired Mukhtar Butt shared his admiration for Shamim Alam’s book, praising its intricate detailing and unique exploration of animal treatment surpassing conventional human remedies.
He lauded Shamim Alam’s dedication to the Arts Council and emphasized Shahdadpur’s role as an educational hub. The ceremony featured commendations from various attendees, including Agha Masood Hussain, who expressed surprise at the detailed portrayal of Shahdadpur in Shamim Alam’s book. Acknowledging the vital connection between education and training, attendees praised the book’s informative nature and hoped for a future publication on the Arts Council of Pakistan Karachi.
Zareen Ghazal emphasized the supportive role of women behind men, highlighting the book’s significance for future generations. Saleem Afridi and other attendees commended the importance of the book in expanding knowledge, with Ali Hassan and Irfan Malik congratulating Shamim Alam for his remarkable achievement. Shamim Alam, expressing gratitude to President Arts Council of Pakistan Karachi Muhammad Ahmed Shah for organizing the event, credited his wife for substantial support in crafting the book.
He touched upon his efforts to establish a school in Shahdadpur and acknowledged the lasting impact certain individuals leave through their work, concluding that the book encapsulates his life’s journey.
