Work is in progress on Degan Mining Project, the copper extraction project at Muhammad Khel, Tehsil Boya of district North Waziristan. It is a joint venture of FWO and Chinese Mining Company to extract copper from North Waziristan. Degan Mining Project is a welfare oriented project as the profit obtained from this will be utilized for the infra structure development in the district.
The FWO and local Military formations have already started work on water supply schemes and road infrastructure in the area.
