The Supreme Court on Monday fixed the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf application for the restoration of bat election symbol for hearing on January 10. According to sources, Barrister Gohar and Hamid Khan met the Supreme Court Registrar and requested him to fix the application for hearing. They reportedly pleaded that the matter was important and should be heard immediately. It may be recalled that the Peshawar High Court had restored the Election Commission’s December 22 decision regarding PTI’s election symbol and intra-party election, after which party was stripped of its bat election symbol. The PTI moved the Supreme Court against the decision of the Peshawar High Court.
