Caretaker Minister for Law and Justice Ahmad Irfan Aslam has said that safeguarding interests of Kashmiri people was top priority of the law ministry.
This was stated by him while talking to a delegation comprising representatives from various Bar councils of Pakistan which called on him in Islamabad on Saturday. Commending the lawyers for their proactive stance on the Kashmir issue, Ahmad Irfan Aslam emphasized the importance of crafting a unified counter-narrative involving all key stakeholders. They discussed the issue of the Indian Supreme Court’s decision to uphold the Modi government’s revocation of special status for the state of Jammu and Kashmir.
Ahmad Irfan said Law Ministry was committed to working collaboratively with all relevant parties to safeguard the interests of the people of Kashmir.
