KARACHI – The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecast mainly cold and dry weather for most parts of Sindh during the next two days.
As per the synoptic situation, continental air prevails over most parts of Pakistan.
A westerly wave is likely to enter Balochistan on Thursday and may persist till Friday.
Under these conditions, mainly cold and dry weather is expected in most parts of Sindh on Wednesday evening/night, Thursday and Friday.
Rain update for Karachi
Cloudy weather and light rain/drizzle is likely in Karachi and other coastal areas on Wednesday evening/night.
Fog/smog is likely to persist in Jacobabad, Mohenjo-Daro, Sukkur, Larkana, Dadu, Ghotki, Khairpur and Padidan during morning and night hours.
In Karachi, the minimum temperature will likely remain between 13-15 degrees Celsius on Thursday and 14-16 C on Friday.
In Hyderabad, minimum temperature will likely remain between 09-11 C on Thursday and 10-12 C on Friday.
Meanwhile, cold and dry weather prevailed across Sindh during the last 24 hours.
Fog prevailed in upper districts which disturbed normal vehicular movement in inter and intra city roads from late night to early morning.
Mohenjo-Daro and Mithi remained the coldest places in Sindh where the mercury dropped to 06 C.
In Mohenjo-Daro, relative humidity in the morning was recorded at 100 per cent.
In Mithi, relative humidity in the morning was recorded at 79 per cent.
In Karachi, minimum temperature was recorded at 14 C.
Relative humidity in the morning was recorded at 61 per cent.
In Hyderabad, minimum temperature was recorded at 10 C.
Relative humidity in the morning was recorded at 81 per cent.
