Pakistan’s foreign reserves increase by $852m

KARACHI – The State Bank of Pakistan’s (SBP) liquid foreign reserves reached $ 7,757.1 million as of December 22, 2023.
As per the data released by the SBP on Thursday, central bank’s foreign reserves increased by $852 million mainly due to receipt of official GoP inflows.
Net foreign reserves held by the commercial banks stood at $5,098.6 million as of December 22, 2023.
As such, total liquid foreign reserves held by Pakistan stood at $12,855.7 million.
