LAHORE – In a thrilling competition, Jim and Tonic emerged victorious in the Christmas Cup organized by Lahore Race Club in connection with Christmas Day on Tuesday.
Leisure Trip stood second while Last Emperor was third among the other competitors.
Pakistan Observer Chairman and CEO Mr. Faisal Zahid Malik graced the occasion as the chief guest. The club executive members including Secretary Sheikh Shahzad Akhtar and a multitude of players and families were present there to witness the exciting match. Lahore Race Club Steward Mehmood Rafi was also present there.
A large number of people including women and children also reached there to enjoy the competition who continued to support their favorite players during the match.
As many as 11 horses took part in the competition. The whole scene was quite mesmerizing as it was one of the fantastic celebrations of Christmas in the provincial capital.
Jim and Tonic secured the first position by beating the others, and won the hearts of the fans by displaying an amazing performance.
As the match concluded, Chief guest Mr. Faisal Zahid Malik along with Mehmood Rafi presented the Christmas Trophy to the winner.
“Congratulations over the victory,” said Mr. Faisal Zahid Malik while presenting the trophy to the winner. He appreciated the spirit of the players, especially the top winners.
He said that it was a great honor for him to be the chief guest at the country’s unique and splendid club, and lauded incumbent Lahore Race Club Chairman Makhdum Syed Ahmed Mehmud over his great role for the club.

“Our Chairman Syed Ahmed Mehmud has appreciated the club and the efforts in this regard,” said Sheikh Shahzad Akhtar.
“It is a great recreational activity as you can see that lots of people including the women and children have come here to enjoy the race match,” he added.
