Punjab Police Annual Inter-Range Weightlifting and Powerlifting Championship 2023 was held at Police Lines, Qila Gujar Singh Lahore. The competition was inaugurated by SP Headquarters Hasan Javed Bhatti, Aqeel Javed Butt, International Weightlifter. They were accompanied by Kashif Barkat, Muhammad Zahoor, Abdul Khaliq and Atif Bajwa, Muhammad Rizwan, Majid Hussain Dogar. Lahore, Special Branch, SPU, Gujranwala, Telecommunication, Faisalabad and Sahiwal teams participated in the competition.
Rabia Jahangir, Sonia Ashraf, Naveeda Mubarak, Hira Niaz, Muniba Imtiaz, Shahrbanu, Noreen Mushtaq, Rafia Ghazanfar and Ayesha Aslam participated in this competition among police women weightlifter players. In the weightlifting championship, Lahore team stood first, SP team second, and special branch team got third position. In the Powerlifting Championship, Lahore team secured first position, Gujranwala team second and SPU team third. Guest DSP Saqib Butt, Rana Asim, Gobbi’s Paint Marketing Manager, distributed prizes among the winning players.
