Commissioner for resolution of issues thru talks

Commissioner Dera Ismail Khan Division Zafar Ul Islam Khattak Visited of Lower South Waziristan headquarters Wana. On this occasion DC South Waziristan Lower Muhammad Nasir Khan, DC South Waziristan Upper Ashfaq Khan and AC Wana Faisal Ismail were also present with him. While a grand jirga was held at Upper Camp Wana with the Ahmadzai Wazir tribes on Thursday, the Jirga was attended by the leading elders of the Ahmadzai Wazir tribes.

At the beginning of the Jirga, Commissioner Dera Zafar Ul Islam Khattak said while addressing the Jirga that the collective problems of all the tribes will be solved through mutual consultation. He assured the Jirga that resolving the demands of the people protesting at the Angoor Adda border on a priority basis was among the top priorities. You people have objections on construction of road from Karkanra area of Wana near Gomal Zam Dam, I will personally try to build it in the population

On this occasion, Malik Alla Uddin, Malik Yar Muhammad, Malik Jameel, Malik Tariq and Malik Saidullah Wazir presented their problems and demands. The tribal elders appealed to the commissioner to immediately resolve the problems faced by the people on the Angoor Ada border. The tribal elders insisted on settling the land disputes, especially the Gomal valley, according to the British misal/record.
