Former prime minister and Pakistan Muslim League-N supremo Nawaz Sharif said on Wednesday it was unfortunate that a few men threw out the prime minister who was elected by 25 crore people of Pakistan.

Addressing the PML-N’s parliamentary board meeting in Lahore, he said not only he was declared ineligible for becoming a member of the parliament, but that ineligibility was for life.

“Look what that pampered boy (Imran Khan) did to the country who was made to sit on the throne out of fear for my party’s victory in the general elections of 2018,” he said, adding, “Every Pakistani is in grief over what the country was made to go through when Imran was the prime minister.”

“Who developed the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor; who built the motorways? Who launched metro bus service for the poor people?
Has anybody else done as much work as we did when we were in power?” the former prime minister questioned.
