An oath-taking ceremony of the Chief Justice (CJ) of the Sindh High Court (SHC) was held in the Sindh High Court here on Tuesday. The Sindh Governor Mohammed Kamran Khan Tessori administered the oath to Justice Aqeel Ahmad Abbasi as the Chief Justice of the Sindh High Court.
The ceremony was attended by lawyers, government officials, city dignitaries and media representatives. Provincial Election Commissioner Sindh Sharifullah administered oath to District Returning Officers (DROs) across Sindh. He administered oath to all DROs from his office online, said a statement.
On this occasion, Provincial Election Commissioner Sindh Sharifullah said that after taking the oath, the training process of DROs will start on December 19.
He further said that the election laws would come into effect immediately after taking the oath.
