LAHORE – More than 400,000 citizens have obtained learner licenses online through the Driving License Issuance Management System (DLIMS) in two days.

Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB) chairman Faisal Yousaf stated that the citizens of Punjab are reaping substantial benefits by getting learner licenses online though PITB-developed DLIMS.

“Thanks to this new system, citizens no longer have to visit government offices and go through the hassle and long queues,” he said, adding that the payment of the license fee can be made online, enabling citizens to acquire a license within minutes from their homes.

“The printed or digital image of the license can be presented to traffic wardens whenever required,” he said.

Faisal Yousaf said that the services related to the renewal of Regular Licenses, Duplicates, and International Licenses will also be made available online in the coming days.

The new Learner License can be instantly obtained by applying on the website dlims.punjab.gov.pk.
