LAHORE – The Punjab government has decided to impose toll tax on 18 different roads with the purpose to generate revenue for development and maintenance of infrastructure.
As per the media reports, the Punjab cabinet has granted approval and notification in this regard would be soon issued by the Finance and Communication and Works departments.
The newly added roads cover a significant stretch from Bahawalpur to Hashilpur to Chishtian.
The government has also decided to revive toll tax on highways across Gujranwala, Nankana Sahib and Sheikhupura.
