Remittances from Pakistani workers in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) rose by 8% year-on-year to $409 million in November 2023, according to data released by the State Bank of Pakistan. This represents an increase of $29 million compared to the $380 million remitted during the same period in the previous fiscal year. While showing a positive trend compared to last year, November’s remittances saw a 14% decline compared to the $476 million received in October 2023.
