Availability of fertilizer to farmers reviewed

Taking notice of complaints of farmers regarding shortage, black marketing and overcharging of fertilizer in the district, Deputy Commissioner Sundas Irshad has posted officers of district administration and agriculture department at shops and warehouses of fertilizer dealers at government prices in the district Hafizabad.

While addressing a meeting held to review availability of fertilizer to farmers, DC said that district administration and agriculture department Hafizabad is committed to ensure provision of fertilizer to farmers at fixed prices and in this connection concrete steps are being taken.

She said that special teams were constituted consisting of officers of district administration and agriculture department to monitor supply of fertilizer by the fertilizer companies to fertilizer dealers in the district so that not only overcharging.— Bashir Ahmad
