Five civil servants were awarded with Integrity Icon Pakistan awards during a high-profile ceremony at Islamabad on Wednesday. Senior diplomats, civil servants, representatives of the civil society, media and youth from different universities attended this much anticipated ceremony to acknowledge and appreciate the services of 5 Integrity Icons.
Dr Sanya Hameed Pasha who is currently serving as the Assistant Commissioner Sadar Zone Islamabad was awarded for services to the people of the capital city. Other senior officials who received the Integrity Icons included Dr. Shaukat Hayat, Deputy Managing Director Merged Areas Education Foundation; Jameel Baloch, Deputy Commissioner, Pishin, Balochistan; Javed Sonharo Jiskani, Deputy Inspector General (DIG), Larkana Range, Sindh; and Muddassir Riaz Malik, Director General, Social Welfare & Bait-ul-Maal Punjab.
The Integrity Icon is a global campaign to celebrate the most honest and hardworking government officials from all over the country. The Integrity Icon campaign has completed its 8 years in Pakistan and has become a much-anticipated event in the capital city. The Accountability Lab Pakistan (ALP) received hundreds of nominations for 2023 awards, and the winners were decided after a thorough screening and review by a jury composed of most capable and credible professionals from civil service, academia and civil society.
In his welcoming remarks, Mr. Ali Imran, Chairman Accountability Lab Pakistan (ALP) added that it has always been the mission of Accountability Lab to identify and celebrate change makers within the civil service who are honest, accessible to the public, and innovative.
