DG Rangers chairs law & order review meeting

A high-level security meeting was held at the headquarters Pakistan Rangers (Sindh) chaired by DG Rangers (Sindh) Major General Azhar Waqas HI(M). In the meeting, the law-and-order situation of Karachi city, especially street crimes, snatching, anti-trafficking, prevention of water theft and other crimes and the evacuation of illegally staying immigrants was reviewed in detail.

In the meeting, Additional IG Karachi, Additional IG Special Branch, DIG CTD, Joint DGIB, DIGs (Special Branch, East, South, West, CIA and Traffic), Police, Rangers and Senior.  High officials of the institutions participated. It was decided in the meeting that Rangers and Police should prevent street crimes, snatching, anti-smuggling water theft and other crimes, evacuation of illegal aliens, display of illegal weapons and violation of law.

It was decided to continue strict action against the perpetrators. Joint combing operation by Pakistan Rangers (Sindh) and police against criminal elements, patrolling and snap checking at inter-provincial checking points to make the process more effective.  Process set up. The public is also requested to immediately report any miscreants, suspicious activity and untoward incident to the posted Rangers personnel.
