KARACHI – Pakistani rupee continued its upward trajectory against the US dollar in interbank market, with the rise being attributed to the IMF agreement and inflows from friendly nations.
Data shared by the central bank revealed that the rupee moved up for fifth day in a row against the greenback and it appreciated 0.15pc on Monday.
During intra-banking trade, the rupee soared to 284 and settled at 284.53, with an increase of Rs0.44.

In open market, the local currency was being quoted at 285.75 for customers.
PKR gained 50 paisas for both buying and selling against the greenback, data shared by Exchange Companies Association of Pakistan (ECAP) said.
