KARACHI – Price of 24-karat gold surged by Rs1,100 per tola on Monday in local market of Pakistan in line with international upward trend in prices.
An association of gold jewellers in latest statistics said the yellow metal was traded at Rs217,600 per tola after witnessing an increase of Rs1,100.
The price for 10-gram gold went up by Rs943 to settle at Rs186,557. In international market, gold price surged by $8 to reach $2,030 per ounce.
Silver prices also witnessed a surge as per tola price reached Rs2,620 after an increase of Rs70 per tola in local market.
