Two terror suspects who got training to committerrorism from Syria were arrested in a joint operation by CounterTerrorism Department and an intelligence agency in Karachi.According to CTD incharge Khurram Waris, the terror suspects, who wereidentified as Syed Raza Ahmad and Syed Khurram Ali, got terrorismtraining in Syria.
The suspects belonged to a special squad named “highvalue target”, he added.The CTD incharge said the suspects were involved in target killings andthey target important personalities after receiving orders from abroad. The terror suspects had just completed recce of some importantpersonalities and a number of foreigners were also on their hit list,the CTD incharge revealed.
Waris said one of the accused, Syed Raza Ahmad, is a former policeofficial who was dismissed from service in 1994. They received heavyamounts for committing murders, he added.
