A resident of Orangi who was suffering from the virus was shifted to the Jinnah Hospital two days ago. The hospital administration said that the patient of Congo virus brought to the hospital two days ago has died. The 55-year-old resident of Orangi Town was infected with the virus. A spokesperson for the Sindh Health Department said different tests were carried out on the patient that confirmed the virus in him.
Moreover, two cases of the Congo virus have been reported in Karachi this year, according to the Sindh Health Department. This is the first death from the virus in Karachi, while another patient has recovered from it, it said.
