Arrangements finalized to launch anti-polio campaign in Hafizabad

All arrangements have been finalized to launch five-day anti-polio campaign from 27, November in the district Hafizabad and health department Hafizabad has constituted 998 polio teams to administer drops of polio vaccine to 232000 children upto five year age in the district. This was stated in a meeting held to review preparation being made by the district administration, health and other departments. Deputy Commissioner Madam SundasIrshad presided over the meeting. Chief Executive Officer Health Dr. Umer Sharif Rathore, DHO Dr. Faiq Ali Tarar, representative of WHO Dr. Touqeer Ahmad, Ulema, Assistant Commissioner (HR and Coordination) IshfaqRasul and other concerned officers attended the meeting.

Addressing the meeting DC Madam SundasIrshad said that to save children from this crippling polio disease is our collective obligation and polio team to ensure that no child be left without drops of anti-polio vaccine.

She appealed the Ulema to persuade the people through their sermons for cooperating with polio teams to get administer drops of polio vaccine to their children during the campaign so that the country could make polio free.

She also urged the parents, social workers, civil society and teachers to play their vital role to make anti-polio drive successful in the district.
