Cemal Sangu commends Pakistan govt, business community’s cooperation

The Counsel General of Türkiye Cemal Sangu has commended the coordination of Pakistan government and the business community to strengthen bilateral relations in every sector, “The relations between Türkiye and Pakistan has long history,” said Cemal Sangu.

Welcoming the chairman and the CEO Pakistan Observer Mr Faisal Zahid Malik at the consulate, the Türkiye CG further said that the Pakistan and Türkiye enjoy close cultural, historical and military relations which are now expanding into deepening economic relations as both countries seek to develop their economies.

Cemal Sangu said the FTA between Pakistan and Türkiye is projected to increase bilateral trade to $5 billion between the years 2016 and 2019 and then to $10 billion by 2022.

The trade hopefully will grow by the time.

“The relations between the two countries have been institutionalized with the establishment of the High-Level Cooperation Council in 2009, which was later upgraded to the level of High-Level Strategic Cooperation Council (HLSCC)”, he added

Cemal Sangu was in view that Pakistan’s top 20 high-potential exports can go up from $391 million to $2,400 million while Türkiye’s top 20 high-potential exports to Pakistan can rise from $193 million to $2,500 million.

CG Türkiye H E Cemal Sangu has endorsed that Pakistan’s foreign relations with Türkiye remain important and based on the extensive cooperation in national security and economic interests in the Persian Gulf.

Pakistan has reciprocated by expressing support for Türkiye’s policy on Northern Cyprus.

Both nations have sought to expand cooperation to fight terrorism. Both countries are also members of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation.

During the meeting with CG, the chairman and CEO Pakistan Observer Mr Faisal Zahid Malik said Pakistan stands along the Türkiye and other Muslim world over Israel’s barbaric killings of innocent Palestinian children, women and elderly people. Two-state is the only solution with immediate ceasefire.

The Chairman Pakistan Observer Mr Faisal Zahid Malik commended Türkiye’s initiative of e-Visa service, allowing tourists and business travelers from Pakistan to obtain their visas without visiting Turkish missions.

The decision widely commended by Pakistanis, those who love to discover beautiful country.

Mr Faisal Zahid Malik assured H E CemalSangu his cooperation to uplift ties between the two brotherly countries. At the occasion, the Counsel General of Türkiye H E CemalSangu presented the shield to Mr. Faisal Zahid Malik for his contribution to the media industry.
