Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) held its 39th E-Kachehri to resolve the potential grievances of the general public. Additional Director General CAA, AVM TaimurIqbal chaired the E-Kachehri. Deputy DGCAA Regulaotry, Deputy DGCAA Works & Development, Director Airport Services, Director Security, Director HR, Director SQMS, Director Operations, Director Commercial & Estate, Director Engineering Services, Director Air Transport, also accompanied the Additional DGCAA in E-Kachehri. About 26 queries/issues were received during online E-Kachehri.
The queries included availability of prohibited items list on CAA website, resumption of PIA-UK flights, and licensing exams at Lahore airport, provision of transport to/from Muridke (New Walton) aerodrome, the promotion and future of recreational flights in Pakistan, development of Sargodha Airport, shortlisting & finalization of interviews dates for the various vacancies advertised by PCAA.
Furthermore, complaints/issues pertaining to delayed / lost luggage by M/s PIA airline at Karachi airport, mismanagement & mistreatment of passengers by M/s Qatar Airline at AllamaIqbal Int’l Airport, delayed / damaged luggage by M/s PIA airline at Toronto Arport, misbehavior of M/s Air-sial with umra passengers at Karachi Airport, clearance of long pending dues/payment of contractor, transfer of pension of CAA employees & recruitment inquiries & issues.
Additional Director General PCAA responded to most of the queries on the spot and directed the concerned quarters to sort out matters pertaining to their respective domains at the earliest on merit. E-Kachehri was live streamed on PCAA official Facebook page.
