Dr. Kausar Abdullah Malik, the Caretaker Federal Minister for National Food Security and Research, graced the inaugural ceremony of the 14th International Biennial Microbiology Conference at Saleem Habib University on Wednesday.
Dr. Malik after the inauguration delivered an address to the assembled audience. He expressed the significance of events like the Biennial Microbiology Conference, stressing their role in fostering facilitation and collaboration among diverse researchers dedicated to microbiological advancements.
In his address, the Caretaker Federal Minister extended his best wishes for the success of the conference, envisioning it as a platform for sharing knowledge, experiences, and innovative ideas that will shape the future of microbiological research in the country. The program concluded with a ceremony to honor the distinguished members present on the stage. Caretaker Federal Minister for National Food Security and Research Dr. Kausar Abdullah Malik visited Karachi Port Trust and chaired a meeting at the Department of Plant Protection (DPP) Karachi on 21st October.
While chairing the meeting at DPP, he said, “Department of Plant Protection is playing an important role in the economy of the country by properly regulating imports and exports of agri goods. Moreover, DPP is shielding the plantation of the country through its quarantine facility so that no harmful insect or pest enters the country”.
