Former IG Sindh Ghulam Nabi Memon has said that the Pakistan is the fortunate country with more than 60 percent dominating youth, but some anti-Pakistan elements allegedly trying to push our children into drugs and anti-state activities. But we have countless private institutions working to secure our youth from swamp of the evil.
Memon while recalling the past, said that 20 years ago, during the posting as SSP Malir, Memon Goth, he established a center for orphans, now this work has increased, and started an educational and residential project organized by Aitmaad Trust on an area of 4 and a half acres in Badin 40 of the work will be completed soon, more than 300 children are currently studying in the educational institution provided with the residence organized by the trust. UAE Consul General, Dr. Farhan Isa and ABAD Chairman Asim Sumsum, Zakaria Karim, Meezan Bank Deputy CEO Syed Amir Ali, Zahid Hameed, Consul General of Oman Abdullah Khanjrani, Head of JDC Zafar Abbas, Hamza Yaqoob Tabani, Abdullah Akhtar, Zain Mandia, Adnan Absar Siddiqui, Afan Zeeshan, Samir Saber, Bilawal Ahmed, Aamir Chothani and others attended the ceremony.
At the event, attendees participated in fundraising, the event witnessed large sum of donations for the trust to help orphans and destitute children. Former IG said that the children under Aitmaad will be educated in higher schools, colleges, and universities on behalf of the trust and they will get the necessary education, they will also be sent abroad.
