Pakistan Muslim League-N Punjab President and former Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah on Saturday claimed that his party would win 120 seats to 125 in Punjab. “We are going to make the next government in Pakistan by simple majority,” claimed the former Interior Minister while addressing a press conference here. Rana Sanaullah said, “There is no problem in at least 80 constituencies, and 15 to 20 per cent are such constituencies where the contest takes place,”.

He said that they are very much confident that the public would vote and support Nawaz Sharif in the upcoming elections. The PML-N leader said that there should be a limit to criticism, and it should be in a political way. He was of the view that every political party would take part in the elections and all political parties should have the right to take part in the elections.

“If someone has committed a mistake on May 9 then he has to face the consequences,” said Rana Sanaullah while indirectly referring to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf. He said, “Scheduling under the guidance of Nawaz Sharif, the parliamentary board is set to convene next week, marking the commencement of our well-organized and dynamic electoral campaign as soon as the official schedule is released.”

Highlighting the comprehensive preparedness of the PML-N, Sanaullah stated, “We have more than one candidate in every constituency, ensuring a robust representation and outreach. Our aim is to conduct a campaign that resonates with the aspirations of the people.”

When asked about Nawaz Sharif’s role in the campaign, Sanaullah said, “Nawaz Sharif will address gatherings in every district, focusing on steering the country away from crises and promoting progress. We believe in the power of the people to grant us a mandate, and we trust that the public will choose us to lead,”.

In response to recent statements from Bilawal Bhutto, Sanaullah remarked, “Bilawal Bhutto is making bombastic statements without presenting viable solutions. In contrast, we welcome criticism from those contesting against us; however, we won’t allow them to shirk their responsibilities from the past four years.”

Coming down hard upon Bilawal Bhutto, Rana Sanaullah said that Bilawal was of the view that a 70 year old should not become the prime minister then he [Bilawal] also should not seek guidance from a 70 years old individual.

Providing exclusive insights from internal party surveys, Sanaullah asserted, “Our position in the upcoming elections is favourable, and electoral accountability is a legitimate process trusted by the constituency. The PML-N is ready to face the public with our track record and future plans.”

Addressing concerns about legal cases against Nawaz Sharif, Sanaullah assured, “If any impediment arises in these cases, they will be resolved. Nawaz Sharif is committed to fulfilling all promises made during the election campaign,”.

He stressed the need for a government with a majority and a five-year mandate, saying that, “Those with a five-year mandate can effectively address and solve issues.”

“What does it mean by the level-playing field? Does it mean registration of more cases against us?,” he asked.
