The Jammu-based All Parties Hurriyat Conference leader, Advocate Divender Singh Behl, has strongly condemned the killing of eight innocent Kashmiris by Indian troops in illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
According to Kashmir Media Service, Divender Singh Behl in a statement issued in Jammu said India has adopted a two-pronged strategy to suppress the Kashmiris’ ongoing freedom struggle. He said, on one hand, the Indian forces’ personnel continue to kill innocent people, particularly youth, extra-judicially with impunity, while on the other hand, New Delhi is settling the Indian Hindus in the disputed territory against international laws and UN resolutions to change the demographic composition of the disputed territory.
The APHC leader pointed out that the Narendra Modi-led Hindutva Indian government is dubbing every innocent Kashmiri as a “terrorist” to mislead the world and malign the Kashmiris’ genuine freedom struggle.—KMS
