Transit of commodities through Iran increased by 14.97 percent during the first seven months of the current Iranian calendar year (March 21-October 22), as compared to the same period of time in the past year, the head of the Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration (IRICA) announced.
Mohammad Rezvani-Far said that 9.3 million tons of commodities were transited via the country in the first seven of the present year.
As previously announced by the deputy transport minister, 10.8 million tons of commodities were transited through the country in the past Iranian calendar year 1401 (ended on March 20).—Tehran Times
